No Idea is Too Big or Too Small to Make Happen

Dusty Mountain Engineering

This page is under construction and is only partially complete.

The general design process goes through seven steps:

  • Requirements gathering- This includes physical limits and potential legal issues.
  • Block and Level analysis, software and interface requirements and parts selection.
  • Detailed hardware and software design with computer simulations for stability and limits.
  • Hardware design such as Printed Circuit Board(PCB) design and layout.
  • Software written and simulated, if required.
  • Manufacture of hardware and PCB with components.
  • Integration and test of hardware, PCB, and software in lab to original requirements.

Note: It is not unusual for a project to loop through the first 3 steps until a satisfactory solution or product is found. These are standard steps most engineering organizations follow.

The lab and test area photos are being taken and will be on this page shortly.
